Former Lloyds Banking Group Acquisition Director and Caple International Country Manager joins Triple Point’s Private Credit Team as Head of Direct Lending
Appointment will help Triple Point further strengthen its positions as a leading provider of alternative finance and growth capital to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)
Triple Point has strengthened its Private Credit Team with the appointment of highly-experienced growth capital specialist Sean Brophy as Head of Direct Lending.
With a wealth of experience in the financial sector, Sean will focus on developing Triple Point’s SME lending loan book, as well as executing the Direct Lending team’s five -year asset growth plans. As Head of Direct Lending, Sean will work on providing SMEs with the capital they need, as well as supporting their M&A requirements. As part of his role, Sean will further consolidate Triple Point’s position as a leading alternative finance provider of strategic growth capital to small and medium-sized businesses.
Most recently working as Head of UK for Caple International, an alternative finance specialist credit lender, Sean brings over 15 years’ experience in banking and lending to his new position. At his previous role, Sean was responsible for Caple’s end-to-end SME debt origination and credit process as well as leading all UK operations. Other previous experience includes seven years at Lloyds Banking Group, occupying roles as Director of Acquisition Finance, as well as Director of Debt Asset Management.
Having been named in the Top 10 list of UK debt providers in MarketIQ’s M&A Review 2021, and lent c£260m to UK SMEs, Triple Point Private Credit is enhancing its reputation for providing flexible and relationship-driven financial support for growth businesses. Sean’s appointment will build on the division’s success and lead the Direct Lending team in its next phase of growth.
